Groups & Leaderboards

Points system, group rankings, and competition.

About Groups & Leaderboards

The Groups & Leaderboards page is where you find groups, join them, and track rankings. The page shows a group search box, your joined groups, and suggested groups to explore. Use the Groups, GroupScore, and MyScore tabs at the top to switch between views.

Joining a group is the first step: its Rambles appear in your hub, and some ask you to confirm before they count your rides.

Points System

Points are awarded automatically based on your rides. There are three ways to earn points:

  • Distance Points: Earn 1 point for any ride up to 10km, then +1 point for each additional full 10km. For example: 6km = 1 point, 15km = 1 point, 21km = 2 points, 100km = 10 points.
  • Commute Points: Mark a ride as a Commute to earn +1 bonus point.
  • GeoZone Points: Earn +1 point for each unique GeoZone you complete during a ride. Completing the same GeoZone multiple times in one ride only counts once, but you can earn points for the same GeoZone on different rides.

Finding a Group

At the top of the Groups tab is a search box: Search for a group to join by name. Start typing and matching groups appear as cards - click one to view its profile and join. If nothing comes up, try a different name, or ask your group for its access code (private groups share their code with their riders).

My Groups & Rambles

Below the search box, My Groups & Rambles shows your joined groups as cards, each displaying the member count and a chip with the number of Rambles the group is running. Click any group card to view its profile and Rambles.

Further down, Suggested Groups & Rambles lists groups in your country that you haven't joined yet. Click a group card to view its profile and join.

When you join a group, its live Rambles appear on your Rambles page, and some Rambles ask you to confirm before they count your rides. Some are about visiting GeoZones on your rides; others, like Leaderboards and Pedal for Good, have no locations at all and count every qualifying ride.

To see everything you're part of across all your groups in one place, open Rambles in the sidebar.

Group Profile

Click a group card to view its full profile:

  • Banner image and group logo
  • Group name and description
  • Member count and public/private status
  • Contact information (email, phone, address) if provided
  • Business hours if applicable

Below the profile, you'll see the group's Rambles - one card for each live Ramble the group is running. Click a card to open the Ramble page, where you can see the rule, the schedule, the reward, and your progress.

Ranking Tabs

The tabs at the top of the page let you switch between views:

  • Groups - Group search, your groups, and suggested groups
  • GroupScore - See how your groups rank against other groups of the same size
  • MyScore - See your personal ranking among other riders within a group

Group Size Tiers

Groups compete against similarly-sized groups based on total points earned by all members:

  • Small: 1-50 active riders
  • Medium: 51-200 active riders
  • Large: 201-500 active riders
  • X-Large: 501+ active riders

Your Ranking

Your ranking within a group only counts rides completed after you joined. Points from before you joined are not included.
