Rankings

The points system, group standings, and Leaderboard Rambles.

About Rankings

Rankings use a points system to show how your groups place against other groups, and where you stand among the riders in each group. Rankings are for members only, so you'll need to be in at least one group to see any.

Where to Find Rankings

Rankings live inside each group. Open the Groups tab, tap one of your groups, and select its Rankings tab (next to About and Rambles).

If you open a group you haven't joined, you'll see "Join this group to see rankings" instead - tap Join Group and the standings appear.

Points System

Points are awarded automatically based on your rides. There are three ways to earn points:

  • Distance Points: Earn 1 point for any ride up to 10km, then +1 point for each additional full 10km. For example: 6km = 1 point, 15km = 1 point, 21km = 2 points, 100km = 10 points.
  • Commute Points: Mark a ride as a Commute to earn +1 bonus point.
  • GeoZone Points: Earn +1 point for each unique GeoZone you complete during a ride. Completing the same GeoZone multiple times in one ride only counts once, but you can earn points for the same GeoZone on different rides.

Two Views

The Rankings tab has a toggle with two views:

  • Group Standing - How this group ranks against other groups of the same size, with a summary line like "#2 of 14 Small groups"
  • My Place - Your rank among the group's riders, with a summary line like "You are #5 of 32 members"

Each view lists the standings a page at a time with points alongside each name - use Previous and Next to move through them. Your own row (or your group's) is highlighted so you can spot it at a glance.

Group Size Tiers

Groups compete against similarly-sized groups based on active rider count:

  • Small: 1-50 active riders
  • Medium: 51-200 active riders
  • Large: 201-500 active riders
  • X-Large: 501+ active riders

Your Ranking

Your ranking within a group only counts rides completed after you joined. Points from before you joined are not included.

Leaderboard Rambles

Group rankings are always on and always points-based. Leaderboard Rambles are something extra a group can run: they rank riders by distance, CO2 saved, points, or rides over each period, and the group can offer prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place when the period ends.

Live Leaderboard Rambles appear in the Rambles tab - open one to see where you sit and who's topping the board this period. Some Rambles ask you to confirm before they count your rides; after that, just ride.
